How does composite bonding work?
Using the composite material (this is what is used in fillings); our aesthetic dentist applies this in layers to your natural teeth. As such, there is no drilling or damage to your natural teeth as the composite material is used to build upon them. No anaesthetic is required either, making this a very comfortable and non-invasive treatment.

What should I get composite bonding for?
If you do not like the look of your teeth for many reasons, composite bonding may be able to help. For example, if your teeth appear uneven and ‘jagged’ at the edges, it can be used to make them more even and uniform in both shape and size. Have some markings or discoloration on your teeth? It can also help to cover and disguise these – leaving you with a stunning and photogenic aesthetic. It can also be used to help close some gaps between teeth as it builds upon them for a more full and wide style of smile.

How much is composite bonding in Bournemouth?
Priced per tooth, composite bonding is £399 per tooth. This is for basically full coverage of the tooth and is also known as composite veneers. If you just require the edges of your teeth to be treated, this is called edge bonding and is priced at £299 per tooth. How long does composite bonding take and how long does it last?
The great thing about composite bonding is that in the vast majority of cases, it is complete in one single appointment! Depending on how much you need and the look you are trying to achieve, it can take two or more hours to complete. Once complete, it can last for years and years on end (up to ten years in some cases). Our aesthetic dentist will educate you on the best way to maintain and prolong your results and you can always book in for a top-up if and when needed.

Injection Moulded Composite Bonding

Along with standard composite bonding (which is a very popular treatment); we also offer the advanced injection moulded composite bonding treatment to help you get the smile aesthetic that you have always wanted. Experts in their field, our aesthetic dentists can offer this as an option if your case requires more in-depth attention to detail or in more comprehensive gaves to get the look that you want.

Injection moulded composite bonding involves the use of a custom mould being used to help shape your natural teeth with the white composite material. Your aesthetic dentist injects the composite material into this mould (you receive no injections into your mouth or gums at all – a needle is only used for the mould). In tandem with this, composite bonding also does not require any drilling of your teeth. Most cases are complete in only one appointment and you can leave our practice with a brand new smile after this popular treatment!

As you can see, the patient’s smile is totally transformed and is empowered with a very visual aesthetic of straight white teeth that are uniform in size and perfectly symmetrical for the smile:

While composite bonding works to improve the shape, size and colour of your teeth – it can also be used in certain cases to help some close gaps and make your teeth appear more finished and complete. As such, it is usually one of the last treatments that patients would receive. For example they may start with Invisalign to straighten their smile, this is then followed by teeth whitening to brighten and whiten the teeth and then the smile would be finished with composite bonding as the final finishing touch. Some teeth may only require some composite at the edges of their teeth – this is referred to as edge bonding.

I chose dental on the banks Solely because of the reputation and reviews they came highly recommended by a very good client on mine who also lives in Sandbanks. I have chosen to have full implants. My teeth are crooked and I hated my smile. Dr George was great with his team. I would highly recommend this Dentist they contact me very frequently to make sure the healing process is going well and I feel like I have the support I need which I wouldn’t have had if I would’ve gone to Turkey so I would highly recommend them to one of the banks for your implants.

Cannot recommend Dental On the Banks highly enough! Everyone there is always so welcoming, professional and kind. Without doubt the best dental care I’ve ever received and we gladly travel further to get them since moving house. The extra distance is nothing when the care is so great. I had an awful experience with another dentist in Winton who missed the fact I needed a filling meaning I was left in pain for months and they became annoyed that I had to bring my son with me. Dental on the Banks sorted everything for me and is always so accommodating of my young children. I wouldn’t go anywhere else ever again.

Always a great service at DOTB. I have had wisdom tooth removal, whitening and hygienist services here. You feel really looked after and they take their time with you to make sure you are comfortable the whole time (the most gentle hygienist ever!). So today I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed under the care of Dr George & his lovely nurse…let’s just say I wouldn’t hesitate if I needed to have another one done. So gentle, did what they needed to do in a calm, controlled atmosphere, pain relief offered before the procedure with steroids to help reduce pain & inflammation, antibiotics provided if needed. An absolutely beautiful place. It's more like visiting a spa than a dentist but more importantly than the beautiful aesthetics was the service I received from the staff there. The lady who talked me through the whole process of Invisalign was an absolute delight, a consummate professional and very informative and patient with all my endless questions.
