Crowns

A very common treatment, they are a great option to keep the majority of your natural tooth in place – just with a discreet, natural-looking camouflage to keep it looking and working like normal.

Dental Bridges
If you are missing a tooth and especially if the gap is visible when you smile, a bridge may be the best option for you. This is where an artificial tooth (custom created to fit in with your smile) is used to literally bridge the gap and make it appear as if you have all of your natural teeth. Types of Composite Bonding

There are three main types of composite bonding possible to get you the smile aesthetic that you want and here at Dental on the Banks, we offer all three! These are composite bonding (also known as composite veneers), edge bonding and injection moulded composite bonding. Learn about all three types of composite bonding below:

Composite Bonding
This is also known as ‘composite veneers’ or ‘cosmetic bonding’ and is the most popular type. It involves the use of the white filling material (known as composite) being applied to your natural tooth – quite like it being painted onto your teeth to make them more even and uniform in shape, size and style. Due to this, there is no damage to your natural teeth as there is no drilling or injections involved. You can see the results of this in the image above. Here at Dental on the Banks, this costs £399 per tooth.

Edge Bonding
Like the name suggests, composite edge bonding is where just the edges of your teeth are treated. So if the edges of your teeth are quite uneven or jagged and not smooth, this is the ideal treatment for them. It targets and treats the edges of your teeth to finish them off with a sleek and straight appearance – building upon the uneven and jagged edges to make them uniform and straight. This is very popular with patients of all ages as it works to tweak the look of their smile just as they want it. You can see the results of this in the image above. Composite edge bonding at Dental on the Banks is £195 per tooth.

Injection Moulded Composite Bonding
With this, our aesthetics dentists create a custom mould of your teeth and mouth and use this as the basis to plan exactly how you want your teeth to look. The mould is then edited to incorporate a fully new shape for your teeth and then during treatment, the mould is placed over your natural teeth so that the aesthetic dentist can inject the composite material into the ideal shapes of the mould. You can see the results of this in the image above. Injection moulded composite bonding is priced on a case-by-case basis as no two cases are ever the same.

Note: It is highly recommended that you complete teeth whitening before composite bonding (more information on teeth whitening here) so that the composite can be custom made to match this pearly white shade.

Reduce Your Smile Corridor With Invisalgin

The smile corridor (also known as the buccal corridor) is the black area that can be seen at the corners of your mouth. This can be more prominent in people who have a narrow upper jaw – resulting in these black corners being more noticeable and prominent when you smile. I chose dental on the banks Solely because of the reputation and reviews they came highly recommended by a very good client on mine who also lives in Sandbanks. I have chosen to have full implants. My teeth are crooked and I hated my smile. Dr George was great with his team. I would highly recommend this Dentist they contact me very frequently to make sure the healing process is going well and I feel like I have the support I need which I wouldn’t have had if I would’ve gone to Turkey so I would highly recommend them to one of the banks for your implants.

Cannot recommend Dental On the Banks highly enough! Everyone there is always so welcoming, professional and kind. Without doubt the best dental care I’ve ever received and we gladly travel further to get them since moving house. The extra distance is nothing when the care is so great. I had an awful experience with another dentist in Winton who missed the fact I needed a filling meaning I was left in pain for months and they became annoyed that I had to bring my son with me. Dental on the Banks sorted everything for me and is always so accommodating of my young children. I wouldn’t go anywhere else ever again.

Always a great service at DOTB. I have had wisdom tooth removal, whitening and hygienist services here. You feel really looked after and they take their time with you to make sure you are comfortable the whole time (the most gentle hygienist ever!). So today I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed under the care of Dr George & his lovely nurse…let’s just say I wouldn’t hesitate if I needed to have another one done. So gentle, did what they needed to do in a calm, controlled atmosphere, pain relief offered before the procedure with steroids to help reduce pain & inflammation, antibiotics provided if needed. A really good experience with something I was dreading. Highly recommend for all your dental needs! 🤩

An absolutely beautiful place. It's more like visiting a spa than a dentist but more importantly than the beautiful aesthetics was the service I received from the staff there. The lady who talked me through the whole process of Invisalign was an absolute delight, a consummate professional and very informative and patient with all my endless questions.
